Description
Ronnie is a typical young Brittany, active, energetic, playful and affectionate. He was rescued from a hunter in Spain by a family who ultimately realised that he needed a more active home. He loves people and enjoys meeting new people. He likes sitting on your feet and loves having his belly rubbed.
He loves other dogs and wants to play with dogs he meets. He's respectful and good at reading their body language and if they don't want to play he leaves them alone.
He would really love to live with another friendly playful dog or dogs but could live as an only dog (ideally with opportunities to play with other dogs). He isn't cat tested. He's great with children as shown in the photos of him with his Spanish family.
He loves going for walks and enjoys going in water (see video).
He needs an active adopter willing to take him on decent daily walks and invest time in positive training. As with all gundogs it may be possible to let him off the lead or he may always need to be kept on a long line in non-fenced areas.
All in all he is a very loving, intelligent, good-natured, well-balanced boy, quick to learn and keen to do the right thing. He does currently pull on the lead but with sufficient exercise and gentle positive training that will change.
His adoption fee is a contribution towards the costs of rescuing him including transport to the UK, neutering, vaccinations, tests for S European diseases.
