Description
This is George and Cosmo, George is a 4 year old turquoise male and Cosmo is a 1 year old female(we think). We would be happy for them to go together and be housed separately or to separate homes as they are not a bonded pair and are housed separately but tolerate each other when out of their cages flying. Both birds come with full setup and I will send over their favourite chop recipe and preferred pellet.
George is a 4 year old male who loves to talk and we have had him roughly a year now. He was a hand reared bird and sadly in his last home lost most of his tameness. Over this last year we have worked often with george to bring back some of this tameness and as you can see by the photos he has made excellent progress and will step up with food and fly to us unprompted to interact with us. He is a very sweet bird and gets on well with people. He does have a slight aversion to hands as a lot of ringnecks do so he prefers to step up onto an arm instead. His favourite phrases are “be a good boy” “hello there” “quack quack” and wolf whistling at you when he sees you. He absolutely loves his food and this has been key in bringing back his tameness. We believe George may never be a bird that loves to be handled consistently and much prefers to interact on his own terms. He isn’t the biggest fan of other birds and prefers to be around people. We believe he would be best suited to someone who knows bird behaviour well and has bird(preferably ringneck) experience already. For the perfect home I would be happy to come to some kind of agreement with the cost as the absolute priority is his future.
Cosmo is the one year old female, we do believe she is a female due to a few characteristics but can’t know for sure due to no dna test or the presence of a ring. Cosmo was a parent reared chick so the ideal home for her would be in an aviary. She is a sweet bird and doesn’t sometimes approach us but we like to give her space as we know she isn’t completely comfortable us being close to her. Cosmo loves being around other birds which is why we believe she would do best in an aviary or a home where she won’t be clipped to try and tame her. Cosmo comes with her setup but if an aviary hone was found for her I would be happy to rehome her without it and at a reduced cost. Cosmo also loves her food and thrives on what she is currently eating.
George(with setup)- £450
Cosmo(with setup)- £350
The pair together with individual setups- £700
I am more than happy to answer any questions! Also happy to discuss price for the perfect homes. Thankyou
