About him:
The photo with the ball is of him (not his mother) - this is a requirement of pets4home.
He is a loving, calm boy who enjoys cuddles, attention, short walks, and relaxing at home. He loves sniff walks and enjoys a lick mat with treats. He is great with people and children and gets very excited to greet everyone. He currently lives with children age 3 and up.
He was bitten as a pup, which makes him reactive around other dogs, so he would need to be the only pet. This can make walks stressful, but with the right training he can improve. He is calmer in the evenings and sleeps much better if he has had a walk that day but does not require walks daily and is happy to sleep and relax.
Health:
* Flea and worm treated a month ago; due again in ~2 months
* Vet checked in March; ear infection/allergy was treated upon arrival in March and is now completely healed.
* Does not have Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Syndrome (BOAS) – original owner confirmed parents were clear
* No spinal issues
* Full vet records available
Reason for rehoming:
We struggle with his early morning routine (wakes ~5am needing the toilet). He uses a puppy pad if needed. He manages to sleep through if taken to the loo around midnight. He would suit a home that can meet his needs consistently. Our back wall is also not suitable for him as he has almost managed to jump over and this is going to be a substantial cost to heighten.
Friends that were willing to have him unfortunately have dogs of their own.
Ideal home:
* Someone home most of the day
* No other dogs
* Willing to give him love, attention, and a routine
Just to be clear, I am only looking for a permanent pet home and do not want my dog used for breeding or stud. If you are interested, please confirm that you are looking for him/her purely as a family pet.
He eats dry food but happily eats wet too.
This is a very difficult decision and was a huge decision for the original owner, so we want him to go to a loving, suitable home only. We are not in a rush to rehome him and will make sure he is going to the right person or family.
