Description
A male Conure needing to be rehomed.
My partner and I are struggling to keep Max. He's a very loving and affectionate bird. However, our problem is he is very nippy and doesn't know his own bite force and can often be unpredictable. We also have 2 other birds and he can get very jealous when we handle them. We feel like he needs to go to someone who is experienced with birds and knows how to deal with his behaviour as he would not be suitable as a first time bird. We also think he may need to go with someone who has Conures as we feel he seeks more than just our attention due to some of his behaviours. He likes to play with you whether its bobbing his head up and down with you or playing tug of war with his toy, ropes. He loves to sing along to music sometimes a little to enthusiastically but that's what you get get with owning a Conure. He likes to be out and flying around. Max also come with his cage, all of his toys and food if needed. If you're looking for a first time bird, unfortunately he wouldn't be suitable for you due to his behaviour. Due to this we would advise you to look elsewhere. We have tried really hard with him but unfortunately, we haven't got very far with him in the the time we have had him. We were hoping we wouldn't have to rehome him but we have been left with little choice and this is one we haven't made lightly.
