Description
LARGE Irish Doodle Puppies – Litter due around 25th October 2026 – Puppies potentially available to go home over the ****************** holiday period.
I'm now accepting requests to be added to my waiting list.
1. ABOUT ME
I own two beautiful healthy excellent-tempered female dogs, Marmaduke and Yogi. I LOVE my dogs and having a litter of puppies from each of them is the most wonderful experience.
Marmaduke had a litter with an Irish Setter – from that litter I kept Yogi.
Yogi is now expecting her first (and only) litter. Yogi is a Golden Doodle crossed with an Irish Setter. I call her an Irish Goldendoodle.
I have mated Yogi will a stunning, ultra-friendly RED STANDARD POODLE.
I take a slightly different approach to involving the prospective owners of the puppies to some breeders – I like you to be involved from day one. I take LOTS of photos and videos of the puppies every day (I'm happy to share the video from the ultrasound with owners too). To the extent that you'd like to receive copies of these they will be made available to you. With Marmaduke's litter I found this really helped the owners to bond with their puppies well before they got them home – you'll get to see their little personalities developing even before they join you.
2. ABOUT THE MUMMY DOG – YOGI
As mentioned above, Yogi is my beautiful pet. She is very affectionate and will "paw" at me when she wants a head-scratch or cuddle. Belly rubs are one of her favourite things. She absolutely ADORES children (all of the dogs from her litter are the same). She is gentle and eager to please, which has made training her particularly enjoyable. Yogi is also quite "foody", and will do almost anything for a piece of cooked chicken (which, again, has really helped with training!).
Yogi is a BIG dog. Her standard weight is 30.5kg (when not pregnant)!
Her coat is EXTRA floofy, non-shedding and wavy rather than curly. Because the daddy dog is a red poodle the puppies are anticipated to have red non-shedding coats which are curlier than Yogi's. Note: coats cannot be guaranteed and do change as dogs age.
3. ABOUT THE DADDY DOG – COOPER
Cooper is a healthy Kennel Club registered red standard poodle. He has successfully sired healthy good-natured puppies before. He is slightly smaller than Yogi, at 27kg, but is still a large dog.
4. THE PUPPIES
The puppies will be:
- wormed with Panacur at two weeks of age and every two weeks thereafter
- microchipped
- fully health checked by the vet
- introduced to grooming whilst hear (their coats whilst puppies are easy to manage but I find it makes grooming much easier for their new owners if they have got used to mini clippers used to trim the floof between their toes, and if they have had brushes and combs run through their coats from an early age). I do my VERY BEST to expose them to all the things you will need to do to look after them as they grow up – to make your life as easy as possible when they go home to you
- advanced in toilet training – I am diligent with teaching them where to toilet as soon as they start walking (at around week 2 – 2.5)
- used to crate-time (helpful if you want to have your dog crate-trained)
The Puppies will have a large puppy pack including:
- a supply of the alphalpha which I use in their litter boxes for toilet training (as they will associate this smell with where they should go to the toilet)
- a supply of the high quality Milles Wolfheart kibble which they will have been weaned onto before they leave
- a personalised blanket which Yogi and the litter will have slept on so it has their scent (which should hopefully help your puppy settle over the first few days in their new home)
- the food bowl that they have been used to eating out of – to help those first few meals in their new home feel more familiar
- information pack with detailed information about care
These puppies, like my last litter will be ADORED by me and everyone who visits them. They will be living in my home with me, their mummy Dog Yogi, their grandma dog Marmaduke and will have LOTS of people of all ages, including lots of children coming and going - I have a very busy house – so these will be particularly well-adjusted and sociable puppies. I say this from experience as the dogs from my previous litter are all very healthy and sociable. Puppies brought up in kennels don't have the same opportunity to experience every day noises & experiences like puppies which are reared in a home.
These puppies will be used to a normal busy family home - kitchen cupboards banging, vacuums working around them, laughter, children shouting, singing.
I will be putting my heart and soul into ensuring these puppies have the very best start to life. I am therefore looking for the very best homes for my beautiful babies. I'm always here to help – I'm still in touch with the owners of Marmaduke's puppies – always happy to answer questions and give you the tips I have used to ensure a happy canine household!
