Description
It is with a very heavy heart that we are looking for a new forever home for our beautiful girl, Cassandra (Cassie). She is a unique and striking Shar-Pei x Kangal cross. At 1 year old and weighing 30kg, she is a strong, healthy, and incredibly loyal young dog.
Temperament & Home Life:
Cassie is a very sweet-natured girl and is absolutely NOT aggressive. She is brilliant with children and very affectionate with people. She is a devoted family member who is well-behaved when people are around.
Important: Like many young, active dogs, Cassie can get bored when left alone for long periods and may chew items if not entertained. She would settle best in a home where someone is around most of the day or where she has plenty of sturdy chew toys and mental stimulation to keep her occupied.
Energy & Training Needs:
While she is very friendly, Cassie is high-energy and powerful.
• On the Lead: She is not aggressive toward other dogs or people, but she is very strong and pulls on the lead because she is excited to explore. She currently does not listen well outdoors and requires professional obedience training to help her focus.
• Prey Drive: She views cats and small animals as "toys" to chase, so a home without cats is essential.
Ideal Home Requirements:
• Secure Garden: A house with a private, securely fenced garden is a must so she can play safely.
• Experienced Owners: Someone physically strong enough to manage a 30kg dog on walks and willing to invest time in her training.
• Active Family: She needs plenty of exercise and mental stimulation.
