❄️ His heart-breaking story :
In the winter of 2022, Camil was rescued just in time from a kill shelter. Since then, he has spent more than two long years behind bars, day after day on cold concrete, longing for warmth, attention, and a place to belong.
His gentle eyes reveal everything he’s missing - a boy full of love, trapped in hopeless loneliness.
“Every time another dog leaves, he watches the kennel door open, but no one comes for him. Camil stays behind… his heart still beating with hope, but it’s been too long.”
💖 His golden character
✨ Loving & gentle
His warm eyes are just waiting for a hand to stroke his coat.
🚶 Calm walking buddy
He already walks beautifully on a lead and enjoys every moment outside.
🧠 Smart & willing to learn
With consistent, kind guidance, he will blossom into the most loyal companion.
🐕 Sociable with other dogs
He appreciates calm, friendly interactions with other dogs.
🌿 What Camil is hoping for
🏡 A secure, fenced garden
A safe place where he can sniff and relax in freedom.
👨👩👧👦 A patient, loving family
Someone who will help him rediscover how wonderful life can be.
🛏️ A warm place indoors
A soft bed and a shoulder to lean on.
🐶 A unique blend
Based on his looks, Camil could be a mix of Welsh Terrier, German Shepherd and local breeds—maybe even with a touch of Basenji or Shiba influence. A one-of-a-kind combination of loyalty, intelligence and resilience.
✨ Name
His official name is Camil, but we often call him Cammy as a nickname - it suits his sweet nature perfectly.

Home-Check (even done online, at times) is mandatory.
We do NOT supply dogs to non-genuine Dog-Loving people. There are all kind out there... can’t be too careful !
We do not supply work, assistance or service dogs, regardless of what noble/moral it would be ! We will need your promise that BALOO will reside as a PET in your Home and he will be well looked-after and loved !
Should you adopt him - you will also agree to keep in touch with us, for years to come - so we can help with any issues.
You must have your own garden and no children under 10 years old to adopt a dog from our rescue.
We are a 100% genuine and transparent Rescue and are doing substantial efforts to save these lives. We reserve the right to ask any (different) adoption fee / donation for our rescue dogs - depending on circumstances. In most cases, we are hardly covering the costs ! Anyway, we are flexible and open(...minded) to discuss over the price with the right potential adopters.
Our preferred method of contact is over the phone or WhatsApp - as we work during the day, with limited access to emails ; it is also more expedient - we can exchange most information in one go.
We keep in touch with all adopters (over 500 families, so far). On request, we can obtain & provide good references from any of them.
As we do with a lot of our dogs, we can bring BALOO almost anywhere in the country -from St. Helier to Lerwick- and you won’t have to pay a penny until you have him !
Please, please - NO TIMEWASTERS !
Thank You !
