Description
Rocky is just 2 years old and currently in a foster home in Walsall.
He is truly amazing, energetic typical Bluetick Coonhound, ready to find his very own forever sofa
This is what his foster mum says about him
Rocky has been with us for 10 days now and is getting into a good routine. He is a very loving dog and eager to please although sometimes he will forget what it was you asked him to do 😂 .
He has lots of energy and loves his walks .He currently is having a longer one in the morning and then a quick one around the block later on in the day .He can pull but not all the time and is good on an extendable lead in areas away from roads and enjoys sniffing and looking at his surroundings.
He can get a bit excited if he spots another dog but it's only because he wants to say hello .He has met up with dogs of all sizes and been very good with them all .
We think a similar aged playful dog as company would be an ideal home but he is fine here as an only dog and lots of human company .
He is sleeping downstairs alone with a stairgate across the stairs .I think if he wanted to he could jump it but he hasn't tried to yet .
He loves his food but doesn't pester for it when it's dinner time he will however show interest when we are eating and has to be told no .He does get the message and backs away and sits down .
In the house he is lively when he first gets up and eager to go for his walk but once his walk is done he's pretty chilled and will snooze .
He's clean in the house so far and appears to have a very good bladder.So far in the garden he's not been particularly interested in staying out other than to go to the toilet but that may change when the weather hopefully improves.
The one rare day we had sun he took himself into the conservatory and had a sunbathing session 😂.
He enjoys playing with toys and chewing on an antler .He has come across deer, horses and squirrels on his walks and not been overly interested .
He loves people and has met our grandkids with no issues and been happy to play with them and his toys .
He has a very short coat which is easy to clean off when he gets muddy .He's not keen on water and will avoid a puddle if possible but if not which is often the case at the moment will plod through it .
Rocky can be rehomed with families with children over 10 years old, must have a secured garden and an active family that will be able to take him out on lengthy walks and adventures
Rocky is a young strong boy, his forever home needs to have experience in continuing with his training
Rocky is neutered, blood tests, fully vaccinated , brucella Canis test
