💔🐾 BIBI IS STILL WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO BELIEVE IN HER 🐾💔 Beautiful Bibi is the kind of little dog who needs you to look beyond the fear. At the moment, the world is still a very big and rather scary place for her. When new people arrive, Bibi can be absolutely petrified and would much rather keep her distance than be approached or greeted. She doesn't like people standing over her, and she feels much safer when you crouch down and give her space. But underneath that nervous little exterior is a gorgeous, incredibly bright girl who is slowly, very slowly, discovering that she can trust the people around her. ❤️ 📍 Horley, Surrey | 3 years old Bibi has only been in foster care since September, and already her confidence is beginning to grow. She is still very timid, but she is clever and learns incredibly quickly. Her foster family says it can take just a couple of tries for her to understand something. And food definitely helps! 😂 Chicken, sausages, tripe sticks, Mini Markies and pretty much anything tasty are the way to Bibi's heart. 🥰 🐾 Bibi absolutely needs another confident resident dog in her new home. She watches other dogs closely and takes so much from them. Initially she can be shy, but she really wants to be friends, run around and play. Having another dog around isn't simply something we'd like for her, it's an essential part of helping her continue to learn and build her confidence. On walks, Bibi loves to sniff and explore. She loves an extending lead and wants to run and investigate everything around her, although she is still easily startled by people and dogs and is not ready to be off lead. Her new family will need to be extremely careful with doors, gates and garden boundaries. Bibi has already managed to escape from her foster garden, so secure fencing and thoroughly checked boundaries are absolutely essential. She must remain on a long line or lead outside of secure areas for now. 🏡 Bibi is still learning about house training. She can be clean overnight sometimes and does well during the day when the back door is open, but her new family will need to continue working patiently with her. She can be left for a few hours and settles well in her safe space with food, water and treats. Overnight she sleeps beautifully and makes no noise. She has lived with cats but is currently frightened of them and runs away. She may settle with time, but this would need to be carefully managed. We would not recommend a home with young children. Older, calm teenagers may be considered, but Bibi needs people who understand that she cannot simply be approached, cuddled or expected to interact straight away. ❤️ Bibi isn't a finished product. But she is bright. She is curious. She wants to run and play. She is beginning to trust. And there is a lovely little dog in there waiting to come out. 🥺❤️ What Bibi needs isn't someone looking for an easy dog. She needs someone who can give her time, patience, understanding and the security of another dog to learn from. Someone who will celebrate the tiny victories.
