Description
Future breeding pair, they're unrelated so there'll be no inbreeding worries. I was going to get a little breeding project on the go but have since changed my plans.
Male is the 1st pic, he's a good bit bigger than the female for now as he's about a year older.
Female is the 2nd pic, will be a couple of years minimum before she's able to breed though.
They seem relatively chilled out, I handle them with a hook & gloves, they don't hood up and don't go to bite, the guy I bought them off was much more confident than I am and he handled them with bare hands and they were fine.
Please take into account that this species of snake are a REAR FANGED VENOMOUS species and it they bite and are allowed to chew then the reaction to the venom can be pretty nasty hence why I won't free handle them.
They're getting to the stage where they're going to require a HUGE vivarium, the experts say 8ft x 3ft in an ideal situation as they're an extremely active species and semi aquatic so they need quite a decent sized water feature too.
They shed perfectly, eat food like it's going out of fashion and are generally pretty cool snakes to own.
