Overview:
Prince is a stunning 14-year-old, 16.2/3hh skewbald gelding (TB x Arab with Doylan bloodlines). Despite his breeding, he is thick-boned, well-built, and an extremely eye-catching type. I have owned Prince for 10 years, and this is an exceptionally sad sale due to having a baby and recovering from a broken knee.
He is a true "been-there-done-it" horse with a fantastic history, including team chasing, hunting, beach rides, fun rides, Pony Club activities, bitless riding, and showing classes.
Key Features & Achievements:
• Jumping: Jumping is Prince's absolute passion. He has jumped up to 1.55m at home with me for fun and is consistently placed in local jumping classes. prince has jumped bs on a ticket a few times. He is honest, brave, and loves his job.
• Flatwork & Dressage: Has three established, quality paces and naturally works into a soft, beautiful frame. Although dressage hasn't been my primary focus, he has consistently placed in the top 3 in the tests he has completed.
• Hunting: Hunted the last 3 seasons. He remains level-headed, sensible, and well-behaved amid all the chaos.
• Bitless & Bridleless: Highly responsive and tuned in to seat and leg cues. He works comfortably in a neck rope on the flat and over substantial fences.
• Hacking & Manners: Excellent to hack out alone or in company, and gets along brilliantly with other horses in turn-out.
Temperament & Handling:
Prince has a heart of gold—there is not a bad bone in his body. He stands quietly all day to be groomed, plaited, clipped, and for the farrier. He loads and travels soundly in both a trailer and a lorry.
He has never been sick, injured, or sorry for himself. He has been under the care of the same vet practice for the last 10 years, and full medical history is available. Up to date with all vaccinations, dental, and back checks.
