Pros
Extremely loyal and protective, instinctively devoted to their family
Gentle giants with low prey drive, safe around livestock and pets
Require minimal grooming despite their size and coat
Naturally excellent watchdogs with territorial awareness
Cons
Dominant and independent, needing experienced owners
Not suitable for first-time owners due to strong will
Require thorough early socialisation and obedience training
Need ultra-secure gardens due to tendency to roam
