It is with an incredibly heavy heart that I am having to make this decision but due to a change in our home circumstances I can no longer give him the time and attention he truly deserves. This has not been a decision I've made lightly, I've spent weeks trying to make it work because if I could keep him I absolutely would. Unfortunately, I have to put what is best for him first and he deserves a family who can give him everything. He is a 7-month-old long haired cream shaded miniature Dachshund with the most loving, gentle nature. He has been brought up around my 2-year-old son and is absolutely amazing with children. He is patient, affectionate and has never shown anything but kindness. Even with my son being well and truly into his ‘terrible twos’ Arlo has put up with it all. He has also grown up around other dogs, as many of my family members have dogs so he is very well socialised and would happily fit into a home with other friendly dogs. He is: Fully toilet trained. Comes when called. Walks well on lead. Comfortable in cars. Very well behaved around the house. Friendly with children and other dogs. Affectionate, playful and loves a cuddle. Like most Dachshunds, he loves being around his people. Before our change in circumstances, he was very rarely left on his own so he's not used to spending long periods alone. Whenever I've needed to be out since, my family have looked after him for me. I think he would thrive in a home where someone is around for most of the day, works from home or already has another dog to keep him company. I genuinely cannot fault him as a dog in the slightest. He has the most amazing temperament and is loved by everyone who has met him. This decision has absolutely broken my heart but keeping him when I can't give him the life he deserves wouldn't be fair on him. Finding the right home is far more important to me than a quick sale. I want him to go to someone who will love him as much as we do and give him the happy life he deserves. Please only get in touch if you can offer him a lifelong, loving home. I'd be more than happy to answer any questions and tell you more about him. More than happy to give him away with the stuff we have for him : bed, toys, bowls, custom items, lead, food etc.
