This is the lovely Keshi. He is approximately 9 years old, but my ex adopted him as a rescue when he was approx 3 where he’d been found wandering in Ireland. He is a quirky dog, despite the mix of breeds, he’s short but chunky. My ex left him with me when we split, and I am struggling with him. He doesn’t pull on the lead generally, but he is very strong and reactive when other dogs pass us. He doesn’t do this when friends hold his lead and walk him, so clearly I am sending some anxiety down the lead to him!
He lives with my two spaniels, but the younger one especially keeps annoying him. He would love to be the only dog in the house and get 100% of the attention, but my spaniel will not let him!
He isn’t great with cats as he enjoys chasing them, but does appreciate the lesson of being swiped, so if the cat is a strong minded one it would be fine. I don’t have kids myself, but he has been around children of all ages and has always been very gentle with them. I am a SEND teacher and he comes to school with me sometimes and is brilliant with the ASD kids.
He is a very sweet dog but I really feel he would be far happier in a different situation.
He is neutered. He is groomed professionally 3-4 times a year, but runs a mile when I try to approach him with a brush of any description.
