Description
Little Duggie was rescued from a municipal kill shelter, where his future had quite literally run out. No one could understand how such a small, loving little boy ended up there — friendly, people-oriented, and with the kind of soft gaze that melts your heart.
Thankfully, he was given a second chance just in time. He is now safe in a private shelter, slowly learning that kindness exists and that gentle hands can mean comfort instead of fear.
But one thing is certain: Duggie does not belong behind kennel bars. He belongs in a warm home, close to someone who will look at him with love and promise he will never be alone again. 💛

Duggie is a true little charmer. Compact yet slightly longer in body, with a short, glossy coat in a warm shade, soft round eyes and a gentle black muzzle.
He strongly resembles a Pug–Dachshund cross — perhaps the sweetness and cuddliness of a Pug combined with the cheerful, alert sparkle of a Dachshund. Whatever his exact mix may be, he is utterly unique: a sturdy little gentleman with the softest soul.

Duggie is not a bold, pushy little dog. He has a very gentle soul.
Behind his cheerful appearance lives a sensitive, tender-hearted boy who bonds deeply with kind, calm people. He doesn’t demand attention — he quietly seeks connection. When he feels safe, his whole little body wiggles with happiness, in the sweetest, most humble way.

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
