Description
Duque is a very handsome Pointer with a lovely nature. Like many of the dogs we help, Duque was surrendered by a hunter when he was no longer wanted. He is a beautiful, medium sized Pointer with a slender, elegant build and a lovely, balanced character. Duque enjoys the company of other dogs and can be quite playful at times. He has been at the shelter for quite a while now and has shared his kennel with a number of different dogs during his time there. He has always got on well with them, playing nicely and happily eating alongside them.
Duque can be a little shy at first, but once he gets to know you, he really comes out of his shell. He is now very comfortable with the ladies at the shelter and is especially sweet and cuddly with them. His recall is good within the secure area at the shelter, although we would expect this to be a little different once he is out on an exciting walk! He absolutely loves having the space to run around and stretch his legs, especially when he has other dogs to run and play with.
Duque can live with older children and can be cat tested for the right home.
