Athena – Beautiful Haflinger × New Forest 1-Year-Old Filly
It has been an incredibly difficult decision to offer Athena for sale, but with too many horses, I simply can’t keep them all.
Athena is a beautiful 14-month-old Haflinger × New Forest filly. Both of her parents are registered, and her passport application is currently in progress. She is expected to mature at approximately 13.1–13.2hh, making her a lovely future riding pony.
For such a young horse, Athena has an exceptional temperament. She’s always the first to come over and say hello in the morning, absolutely loves attention, and is a pleasure to handle. She is kind, willing, and affectionate, with all the qualities to make someone a fantastic future partner.
Athena is very well handled for her age and has been taken for walks out on the roads, taking everything in her stride. She is confident, sensible, and enjoys learning, giving her an excellent foundation for the future.
She is up to date with the farrier and worming and has been well cared for from day one.
Athena does become stressed when stabled and is much happier living out. Given her age and limited experience, this is something that may improve with time, patience, and consistent handling in the right home.
This is a truly heartbreaking sale, so finding Athena the very best home is my absolute priority. She deserves someone who will love and cherish her as much as I do.
