Magical Mabel arrived in UK 15th November 2025, with her brother Mack from our Penny’s Ark shelter in Romania. They are staying with one of our excellent fosterers and learning all about living in a home.
Fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed, Mabel is now ready to find her forever home. She’s a little shy to begin with, good with other dogs, people and children. Hasn’t been cat tested, but ignores them when she’s out on walks. A calm, gentle girl who is gaining in confidence everyday. Loves toys especially chew toys like antlers and soft toys she can rip up. Favourite thing is curling up on a sofa or comfortable chair. Fully house trained.
Like many Romanian rescues Mabel has a tendency to zigzag when walking. She needs a 3 point harness at all times due to flight risk. She’s gaining in confidence when going out in the car. Mabel is very food orientated and eager to please, so we think she will continue to respond to gentle training with positive reinforcement and lots of praise. She’s a perfect family dog and would settle either with or without another dog for company. Please email ************ if you have room on your sofa for Mabel. Thank you.
