Description
Male red fox labrador for rehoming. Will be 4 years old on 18/07/2026. Name - Oakes This is a very sad sale for us as a family, but due to us recently having expanded our family, we've come to the difficult decision that one of our dogs need to be rehomed. As we're finding it difficult to give them both the time and energy that they need and deserve. PERSONALITY-- - he's a very loved, family dog and this reflects in his personality. He's always up for cuddles and playtime, any furry/floppy toys are his go to! - he's quite an energetic dog when it comes to walks, so he needs to be with a family who will exercise/walk him every day/every 2 days tops. He absolutely loves being let off the lead to chase a ball! -he can be a little bit nervous with new people at first, but he soon settles and becomes your bestfriend once he's had a good sniff! -he has shown a bit of reactive behaviour to our family cat in terms of he will chase him if he sees him or bow down and paw him, but he's never aggressive. So a home without a cat may be preferable! He loves to end the day by lying in your lap/with you for a snuggle on the sofa and receive a head scratch & belly rub! He’s a very snuggly boy! WALKS -— -while out on walks, his recall isn't 100% as we've just never got round to properly training him in regards to this with us moving house and me falling pregnant twice quite quickly from adopting him. But with an owner willing to spend the time working on his lead work and recall I have no doubt he’d pick it up and be amazing really quickly as he really is such an intelligent dog. He loves to be let off to chase a ball and have a sniff around/explore new places on walks. He’s a very inquisitive dog. MEDICAL INFO- his yearly booster jab is due around now as well as flea and worming coming up shortly but we will get all of this done before sending him to his new home along if preferred to be done by us beforehand. He will only be going to a new home who can offer him the love and attention that he needs and deserves, as this is a very reluctant ad on our behalf as he is such a loved family dog. We’re just trying to do what’s in the best interest of him as much as it will upset us. Any questions or further information required don’t hesitate to ask.
