Description

Tiger came into Cats in Crisis East London as a very young, heavily pregnant girl. Despite being little more than a kitten herself, she soon gave birth to four absolutely beautiful, fluffy little angels and proved to be the most wonderful mum. (all her kittens have now been adopted and found loving homes). She was patient, gentle, loving and completely devoted to her babies. She did an absolutely fantastic job raising them, and now that her little ones are ready to fly the nest, it’s finally Tiger’s turn to find someone who will spoil her rotten! Tiger has stayed with us a little longer than some of our other cats because, when she first arrived, she had a lingering respiratory infection. We suspect this may have been a result of spending the winter outdoors as a young kitten, exposed to the freezing cold. Because she was pregnant and subsequently nursing her babies, we had to be particularly careful about the treatment we gave her. Once her kittens were weaned, she completed a course of antibiotics, which made a significant improvement. From time to time she does still have a little residual raspiness to her breathing, but our trusted vets, who have cared for our rescue cats for years, have reassured us that this is likely to be an after-effect of an earlier respiratory infection. It doesn’t stop her enjoying life, eating, playing or being her lovely little self. In fact, she’s a bit of a chunky monkey and absolutely LOVES her food! 😂 We also support her with FluMax, a nutritional supplement from VetPlus which is added to her food. It contains ingredients including L-lysine and other supportive nutrients intended to help maintain normal immune function and respiratory health. We have seen some lovely results using supportive supplements, although every cat is different. Let’s talk about Tiger! 🖤 She’s a beautiful tabby girl with an incredibly fluffy coat, a gorgeous little face and a whole lot of love to give. She’s been through a lot in her short life, from surviving outdoors to becoming a mum while still so young. Now it’s time for somebody to put Tiger first. We would love to find her a home where she can enjoy being someone’s baby rather than looking after babies of her own! Her respiratory history and ongoing supportive care will be discussed openly with potential adopters so that she gets exactly the care she needs. Could you be Tiger’s happy ever after? Please get in touch with Cats in Crisis East London if you think this gorgeous girl could be the missing piece of your family.
