We are hoping to find a very special someone for this lovely boy, who is looking for an experienced home. Hector is a sweet, easily excitable pup who craves human companionship. He is submissive with other dogs and people, but he is still very young and is only just learning everything. He needs someone who is prepared to put the work in, someone happy to get involved in training, helping him understand the world around him and giving him the consistency and guidance needed to grow into a wonderful, confident and well-mannered adult dog. Hector was rescued from a rubbish dump in Macedonia, where he was abandoned and getting close to starving to death. Thankfully, that terrible chapter of his life is behind him now. He is joyful, affectionate and playful, and he loves being around you. He enjoys activity, exploring, playing and is crazy about food, but he also has a goofy and lazy side too!🥹 His current weight is 14.6 kg, but we expect him to do quite a bit more growing, so he is likely to be a tall, medium-to-large boy. He is quite bouncy and his paws are big, but he doesn't realise his size and behaves like a tiny pup. For this reason, he needs a home without children. His reaction to cats is currently unknown. Please note that Hector has a strong, loud bark! This sweet and intelligent boy needs someone who enjoys dog training and activities, long walks, adventures and watching a young dog grow in confidence. Someone who understands that the puppy stage can be hard work, but also incredibly rewarding. If you are an experienced large dog person looking for an active companion and are willing to give Hector the training, patience, consistency and love he needs, please get in touch. He can live happily as an only dog or with other dogs too. The adoption process involves a pre-adoption form, in-person home check, meet and greet, adoption contract, and adoption fee of £450 (which partially reimburses his transport costs from Macedonia to the UK).
