Description
This is Sky, she is a 9 week old akita puppy looking for her forever home. We have only had sky a few days, as we paid for her to take her out of an unsuitable home in good faith from a lady who could not care for her due to ill health. We hoped we could give sky a forever home, but sadly we have made the very difficult decision that we are not suitable for her. Sky is a very happy and very playful energetic little girl, though unfortunately she does not get along with our other dogs who are both much older. She has bitten our Maltese while trying to play and it has resulted in us having to keep her separate from the other dogs, especially during mealtimes as she will growl and guard her food from the other dogs, which we feel is unfair on her as she only wants to play, but with her being young she doesn't get that the older dogs don't really want to and we suspect she may have had to compete for food from previous homes she has been in. We would recommend sky be re homed to a home with no other dogs and someone who has plenty of time for walks and play and time with her as she prefers to be near people. She does chew and get into stuff a lot due to her age and teething but we have various toys for her to play with which will come with her. She also has tailor made kibble from tails.com that we will send also. With sky being very energetic we would also recommend she is placed in a home without young children, as she can get very hyper and we wouldn't want her to accidentally cause an injury to young children. Sky loves cuddles, playing and running around. She is partly toilet trained from the training we have given her while she has been with us, and will toilet in the garden or on a puppy pad, which she is rewarded for, but still makes a few accidents now and then. We are not sure if she has had her first vaccinations or micro chip as the lady we got her from said she had but we have had no confirmation. We ourselves were going to take her to the vet but our appointment is not for 2 weeks, and we don't want to cause her or the other dogs any prolonged anxiety or suffering by having to keep them in different rooms separated from each other. We also have very limited information about her previous home or where she came from, as the lady we got her from was quite vague about that also when we asked again and she has since been unreachable, and we feel sky would be at risk if we returned her so we have been left to find her a suitable home. The price we are asking is merely what we paid for her and not for any sort of profit to ourselves, as we didn't expect to have her but got the money together to bring her into a better environment than the one she was in. I know it's a lot of information to take in, but we want to be honest about her and find a goof home for her as she seems to have been passed around, to our knowledge we are her 3rd owners, but we are very keen to find a home she can settle in permanently as she is such a sweet girl and we love her to pieces and we are upset that we have to uproot her again, especially with her being such a lovely puppy. She just wants love. The last thing we wanted to do was give up on her but we have to consider her happiness and welfare.
