Description

Apologies for the jumbled mess below, the formatting changes once posted! We took in this beautiful boy as a “short term” foster and our now looking for his forever home. He is a big boy, sitting at around 70kg and quite tall for a CC. He is an absolute pleasure to be around and has so many good qualities. - he walks great on a lead with no pulling and always listens (can be a little stubborn when it comes to some good pee-mail, but that’s what his walks are for!). He even knows commands to switch sides of you. - he is incredibly clever and easy to train. He knows a lot of commands and even uses a doorbell to let you know when he needs the toilet. - he is incredibly obedient and loyal - thankfully doesn’t have the stubborn CC trait! - amazing house manners and is crate trained. Will use his doorbell when he needs to use toilet. Never takes food unless told and is incredibly gentle when doing so. - very chilled out and spends most of his time sleeping but will sometimes come over with a toy for some play time. The list is endless but those are some of the top things I can think of. He is a typical CC when it comes to guarding and other big male dogs, so he needs to be with someone who truly understands what it is like owning a large guardian breed. He is wary of strangers but after a good slow introduction, he is back to his normal self. His previous owners had difficulty with him regarding reactivity to strangers, however, in the right hands, he is absolutely fine. He is muzzled when in public following his past reactivity struggles. As he is such a big dog, we do not want any risks. We have been working on neutrality towards other dogs, he is great with other female dogs, but needs strict handling with male dogs. He won’t pull or bark, but you have to ensure he is engaged with you and that you are in control. I will take my time finding him a perfect home and would love to have multiple introductions to ensure he is the perfect fit for you.
