We are unbelievably excited to announce the birth of our very special litter of Golden Pyrenees - Pyrenean Mountain Dog x Golden Retriever. We are one of the UKs leading breeders of owner trained assistance and therapy dogs and we have decided to mix the very best golden retriever and Pyrenean genetics and this litter is the result of that. The litter has been bred specifically for us to keep two girls for our breeding programme and they will go onto be the beginning of our golden retriever x Pyrenean x poodle mix which we are confident will enable us to keep striving forwards with trainable, dependable and reliable assistance and therapy dogs. This litter combined arguably the best Pyrenean and Golden retriever genetics available on the UK. The mother (Pyrenean Mountain Dog) was imported from a top breeder in Lithuania as a puppy and has produced two fantastic litters - most of the puppies are now successfully working as therapy or assistance dogs and some have made the most wonderful family pets. She comes from extensively health tested lines and as her parents are working livestock guardian dogs she doesn’t have the health issues you so often see in British bred show dogs. As well as having produced some of our best assistance dogs she and her two sisters are working livestock guardian dogs on our smallholding. Looking after our flock of goats, chickens and geese. Unlike guard dogs there is no aggression - it is instead protective, gentle and kind nature with an inbuilt desire to look after. The father (Golden Retriever) was Imported by us from a top Serbian kennels. He has fathered many of our best litters and is used extensively at stud by breeders all around the country as it’s rare to find such a brilliant temperament paired with some of the best health testing in the UK and a proven track record for producing excellence. Although the Pyreneans are bred as livestock guardian dogs they also make fantastic pets - particularly when crossed with a golden retriever. The puppies will be large with an estimated adult size of 40kg - 50kg. They will be loyal, loving, trainable and totally dependable. They will have a stubborn streak which requires firm training as a puppy but we have had many puppies from both parents trained by new owners all the way through to assistance level with the help of a good balanced trainers One of the best things about this cross is they will have a life expectancy of 12-14 years which is almost unheard of for any other large breed. Puppies can be seen with Mum and Dad siblings. They will have all been throughly vet checked, wormed, had their 1st vaccination, microchipped, and come with a puppy pack and 4 weeks free insurance. They will have been properly socialised with other dogs, children and adults and are used to all the normal household smells and sounds. We will make a start on house training where possible, and we also start crate training so you can be assured everything has been started right. They will also have had one or two puppy groom as I am a dog groomer.
