It absolutely breaks my heart to be writing this, but I’m looking for a loving new home for my beautiful girl, Phoebe.
Phoebe is a 5-year-old Cocker Spaniel who is a very special part of our family. This is a decision I never thought I would have to make, and I honestly don’t want to let her go. However, since having my baby, I’ve found that Phoebe is extremely food-oriented and will try to take food straight from my baby’s hands. Although she has never meant to cause harm, I simply can’t take the risk now that I have a little one.
This is absolutely not because Phoebe is a bad dog or because I don’t love her. If anything, making this decision has been incredibly difficult because I love her so much. I just feel that the responsible thing to do is to find her a home where she can be happy, settled and get all the attention and care she deserves.
Phoebe is good with both cats and other dogs. She is a lovely girl who would make a wonderful companion for the right person or family and deserves a home where she will be loved, cared for and treated as part of the family.
I will be very particular about where Phoebe goes because I want to make sure she finds the right home. She is not something I am looking to get rid of — I am looking for someone who will genuinely love her and give her the life she deserves.
This is one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, and I would really appreciate people understanding that this is being done purely with my baby’s safety and Phoebe’s best interests at heart. ❤️
