🐶 Name; Tex, 12-18 month old, Male, Staffy cross
🐶 Background; Tex came to us from the dog pound as an unclaimed stray and was about to ve euthanaised if a rescue did not offer him a space.
🐶 Personality; Tex is a lovely friendly boy. He can be very giddy and has been known to mouth. With some basic training he will be a marvelous addition.
🕓 Left alone; Tex is not destructive in his kennel and should be ok being left for 4-6 hours
💩 House training; Tex will go out to his kennel run to toilet but may need some help getting used to a new home.
🚗 Travelling; we can not comment yet on how well Tex travels
🏃♀️Exercise; Tex is a bouncy boy and will benefit from 2 walks per say minimum 45 minutes.
👀 Adopter Requirements; Bullbreed experience is needed as Tex is a full on boy who needs some basic training. Any experience with blind dogs would be helpful but not essential. You will need to be patient and kind to help Tex settle in.
🏡 Home/garden needs; direct access to a private secure garden is needed.
👶Minimum age of children; Adult only due to him being blind and needing training
🐕Resident dogs (must be already neutered, this is not negotiable); Tex likes being around other dogs and seems calmer when he is with other dogs.
🐈 Cat tested; Tex has tested well with cats whilst with us.
🩺 Medical issues; Tex is blind , there is no medication or treatment needed. The vet has advised there is no indication to remove his eyes surgically but if this changed we would do the surgery free of charge at our HQ vet clinic.
All our dogs are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, parasite treated, and come with 5 weeks free insurance.
