Description
I’m looking to rehome my small flock: 1 rooster and 2 hens, all approx. 3 years old.
They are friendly, used to people, and enjoy roaming freely in the garden. They currently sleep in a tree rather than a coop and are great at clearing up food scraps and keeping things lively outdoors.
Important (full disclosure):
The flock likely has mycoplasma (chronic respiratory disease).
This means:
They can have occasional respiratory symptoms (e.g. runny noses)
They may be lifelong carriers
They should ideally go to a home with no existing chickens.
They haven't showed symptoms at all but have been exposed to birds with symptoms.
The hens lay very rarely now (maybe once a month or less), so they are best suited as pets rather than for egg production.
Looking for a kind home where they can live out their days comfortably.
