💔 Rescue Story
Oxy was rescued many years ago and once had a family of her own. When the full-scale cruel war began, her life changed again. Her family fled the country and left Oxy behind with an elderly grandmother in a village. She lived outside in a kennel, waiting. When the grandmother passed away, Oxy was left completely alone in the yard of an abandoned house — hungry, lonely, and forgotten. Only later the family contact rescue and ask for her to be taken back. Through all of this, Oxy never lost her gentle heart or her quiet hope that someone would return for her.
🐕 More Details
Oxy currently is at foster home. The sudden change in her life was too huge to cope with it immediately. She is now still decompressing (as arrived just 2 days ago on a moment we write it), but slowly settles.
Before arrival to UK she lived in an outdoor enclosure, but when after spaying she spent a full week inside the house, she behaved as if she had lived in a home all her life. She approaches people calmly, sniffing and waiting, wagging her tail softly. With those she knows, she runs happily to greet them. She adapts to new people quickly . Oxy is very affectionate as soon as she start trusting her environment, but doesn’t always know how to ask for attention, offering her closeness shyly. She still can be playful like a puppy, running, chasing, and enjoying movement — making up for the childhood she never truly had. She is active, enthusiastic on walks, and full of life, while remaining calm and settled indoors. She loves the company of other dogs and will be happy to have canine companion in a new home.
🏡 Ideal Home
Oxy needs an active family who loves walking, fresh air, and shared adventures. Same time family needs to be patient and understanding to allow her settle and build trust around a new environment. A rural or semi-rural environment would suit her beautifully, with fields, woodland, or beach walks where she can stretch her legs and enjoy life and freedom near her people. Her future family should be physically fit, confident with larger joyful dogs, and comfortable setting kind, clear boundaries teaching her a nice manners (like to stand on people asking for kisses and can jump sometimes).
💞 Oxy can be shy first, but is soft, loving, and endlessly grateful for every moment of attention. She has waited far too long for stability and love, and she still believes in people. For the family who gives her a true home at last, Oxy will offer loyalty, warmth, and a love that feels deeply earned.
