Description
Ash (male) and Etta (female) are a bonded pair of tabby kittens. Ash came in to rescue when he was only a few weeks old along with his 6 siblings and his lovely mum. All of his siblings, and his mum, have now been adopted. Etta was found straying on her own at around 7 weeks old and joined Ash’s family, even being accepted by Ash’s mum.
Both are typical playful, energetic kittens who love to playfight, chase one another, and play with their toys. Ash is very confident and affectionate, and loves to climb on to his fosterer’s lap for a cuddle. Etta, likely due to her past, is a little more reserved and will take a moment to get used to new people, studying them from a distance before coming closer. In her foster home, she can be wary when her fosterer first reaches to stroke her, and sometimes moves away, but if she allows a stroke (which she often does) then she realises she likes it and always stays for more, and starts purring! When Ash is sitting on their fosterer’s lap, Etta often chooses to settle down next to them & often puts a paw on her lap too. All in all, Etta is not an excessively nervous kitten and definitely enjoys affection on her terms, but she may never be a lap cat like Ash. We think a calm home without young children would be best for this pair, owing to Etta’s more wary nature.
Both have been neutered, vaccinated and chipped. They are in foster in Reading.
Rehoming criteria:
- Suitable for first time owners
- Older children
- Potentially a friendly cat
- Potentially a cat savvy dog
- Will need outside access to a garden
- Someone at home most of the time
The minimum adoption fee is £205 per cat which includes:
- Neutering
- Microchip (there is a small fee to register/ transfer ownership)
- At least the first vaccination
- Up to date flea and worming
- A Pet Remedy new home kit
- 5 weeks free insurance with Agria
- A blanket for a familiar smell
- Ongoing advice and support
