Meet Spritz! 18-month-old Spritz is a beautiful, fun-loving girl with a big personality and plenty of energy who is looking for an active family to call her own. Weighing around 26kg and currently based in Hornchurch, Spritz can be a little unsure when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, you’ll discover a wonderfully loving girl who adores attention, enjoys playing, and has so much love to give. When meeting someone for the first time, Spritz may bark and back away, and she can take a little longer to warm up to men. On occasion, she may lunge or growl when feeling unsure, so she is looking for patient adopters who understand that building trust takes time. Once she knows you and feels comfortable in your company, her personality really begins to shine. She’ll happily try to play with you, seek out attention, and show you just how affectionate she can be. Spritz absolutely loves being fussed and will thrive with people who are willing to let her settle at her own pace. Spritz is a bright, playful girl with lots of energy, and she is looking for an active home where her exercise and enrichment needs can be properly met. She particularly enjoys playing fetch and would happily spend hours chasing after her favourite toy. Whether she’s playing fetch, watching TV, or chasing flies around the house, Spritz certainly knows how to keep herself entertained! Her exercise needs aren’t currently being met, so adopters should be prepared to introduce a consistent routine of walks, play, and mental stimulation. We feel that helping her burn off her energy in positive ways will also support her overall wellbeing and help reduce some of her destructive behaviours. A lovely girl who will benefit from going back to basics, Spritz needs owners who are happy to continue building her training using kind, positive reinforcement. She is house-trained, which is a great starting point, but she will need patience, consistency, and clear guidance as she settles into her new home. Spritz can be left for up to four hours, although this will need to be reintroduced gradually. In a new environment, she may cry and chew when left alone, so her adopters should be prepared to build up alone time slowly and help her feel safe and comfortable when separated from her people. Spritz hasn’t had much socialisation with other dogs since being in the UK. She is good with dogs she knows and loves to play with them, but she can be unsure when meeting unfamiliar dogs. Because of this, introductions will need to be handled slowly and carefully, allowing Spritz time to feel comfortable and build positive experiences. Her future adopters should be willing to support her socialisation at her own pace, without putting pressure on her to interact before she is ready. Spritz can be a very vocal girl, and she isn’t afraid to let you know when something has caught her attention! She may bark when someone comes to the door or when people or dogs approach while she is out on walks. Her adopters should be prepared to work patiently on these behaviours, helping her learn alternative ways to respond and feel more relaxed in situations she finds challenging. Spritz can live with older children, and we would also consider homes with younger children where the family has the right level of experience and understanding. Her ideal home will be active, patient, and committed to helping her develop her confidence, manners, and social skills. She needs a family who will appreciate her playful nature, understand her boundaries, and give her the time and guidance she needs to thrive. Once Spritz knows you’re her person, you’ll be rewarded with a loving, playful companion who adores attention, will happily play fetch for hours, and has a wonderfully entertaining personality.
