I am unfortunately having to sell my collection of tortoises due to moving. The collection included a breeding pair, one 2yr old tortoise and three nearly 1yr old tortoises.
The breeding pair are ages 26 (female) and 23 (male). They have lived together all their life and enjoy each other’s company. They live outside all year round until they go into hibernation around late October, depending on the temperature outside. They are eating and pooping fine and have a bath once every few days. They eat an array of greenery and vegetables and have water available at all times. The female tends to lay her eggs around May - June time and does at least one clutch a year, usually 6-10 eggs, however this year she laid two clutches and a total of 16 eggs. The male can annoy her sometimes and if he is constantly following her and trying to mount her, I separate them so she does not get stressed out. They will need to go as a pair as I do not want to separate them after two decades. The pair have successfully hatched more babies than I can remember, which I currently have kept 5 of. The pair come with their papers/certificates.
One of their babies, a nearly 3yr old male, is also for sale. He spent his first year and a half in a heated tortoise table until he grew too big, at a very fast rate, and was moved out to live with his parents. He eats and poos as he should, has just completed his first hibernation and can live alone or with others. He has lived with his father for close to a year and they have never fought over the female, however he will annoy his mother and is also separated. He does not come with a set up, he can live inside or out, as long as heat is provided when needed. He is bathed once every few days
I finally have three babies for sale, all turning 1yr old in July of this year. They are all eating loads and are pooping fine. They have a bath every other day and are provided with calcium powder on their food. They currently live indoors in a heated environment and will need to continue in a warm and safe environment until they are big enough to move outdoors. These do not come with a set up. Sex is not certain due to young age but from how it’s looking, two are male and one is female.
Proof of set up will be required to ensure they are going to a safe and correct home.
