I’m very sadly looking to rehome my black-capped conure, previously named Barry.
Barry was advertised to me as semi-tame, however since bringing him home it’s become clear that he is not tame and is struggling to settle in a busy family environment. This is absolutely no fault of his own, and it’s heartbreaking, but I feel it’s unfair to keep him when I’m not the right person for his needs.
Barry is healthy, alert, and has a lovely sense of humour — he’s very observant and clearly intelligent. He just needs someone experienced with conures or parrots who understands nervous or untamed birds and can give him the patience, time, and calm environment he deserves.
He comes with:

• Food and accessories
I paid £350 including cage and food, and I’m asking a sensible price to ensure he goes to a genuine, knowledgeable home, not for profit.
This is a very sad rehoming, and I will only let Barry go to someone who truly understands parrots and can offer him a long-term, loving home.
