My Beautiful English Bulldog Needs a Forever Home

I’m very sadly having to write this advert for my beautiful baby who will need a new forever and ever home.
Through absolutely zero fault of his own and due to a change in personal circumstances I need to find the perfect new family for my baby boy.
I have had Maxi since he was 10 weeks old, he has been by my side for just shy of 7 years and it breaks my heart to have to rehome him but I sadly don’t have a choice.
Maxi is the most well tempered, snuggly, couch potato you could ever hope to meet. While I don’t have children he has been brought up around little ones and I know they say you can’t ever trust an animal 100% I could say that I could trust him the most you ever could. He loves people and children and fuss.
Maxi is a true bulldog, he does not like to walk one on one but if there are other dogs or people he loves to go out for a meander. He loves car journeys, sometimes we just go for a drive for his entertainment instead of walking. He loves his dinner and treats, loves sleeping on the settee next to you in front of the fire or watching a film. He’s fantastic with other dogs, I’ve never heard him growl. He is not possessive over anything, you can take food from him, toys etc. he’s really well tempered. Loves the water on a walk but isn’t so keen on the groomers! I bath him myself at a DIY dog wash and he doesn’t mind it but he’s not a big fan of the dryer.
The type of home I am looking for is someone or a family who have previously owned or currently own bulldogs. They are a specific breed who need people who understand them and are used to the noises and certain things he will need maintaining etc. I am not in a rush to rehome him so I will wait for the right place for him. 5 star only.
Ideally I would like either someone who works from home and has time to fuss him and be with him (he will be asleep mostly!) but he needs interaction. Alternatively a family with children would be ideal, I would say 6/7 upwards just because he’s a lump and could knock a little one over accidentally. I will want to be kept up to date with how he is so that will be essential. He is my whole world, truly it breaks my heart.
