Marley, 5-year old boy, based on his physical features and gentle temperament, Marley is likely a Carpathian Shepherd–type cross softened with Collie-influence💛 Medium-sized: approx. 55 cm at the shoulder, 22 kg.
About Marley:
Marley has spent 5 years in a private shelter after being rescued from a public kill shelter as a young pup, it is devastating.
He grew up alongside a little group of five long-term dogs — his only “family”. They lived quietly and peacefully for many years.
As the shelter grew busier and stress levels rose, feeding time sometimes caused tension with 5 in 1 kennel. To keep everyone safe, the group was separated.
Marley now lives alone in a kennel, and it has made him incredibly sad.
Yet despite everything, he remains one of the gentlest souls you could ever meet.
Marley is a soft, sensitive, very intelligent boy who observes before he acts and never pushes himself onto anyone. He simply waits for patience and kindness.
And when he feels safe, he opens up in the most heart-melting way:
He relaxes.
He leans in.
His eyes warm.
And you see a dog who wants nothing more than love, safety, and a person to trust.
✨ A Tiny Scar, A Lot of Character:
As a puppy, Marley injured one of his eyes in the shelter. It healed fully and causes him no discomfort.
There is just a small patch of scar tissue — a sweet little beauty mark that adds charm to his already gorgeous face.
He may see slightly less on that side, but his overall vision and daily functioning are completely normal.
🏡 The Home Marley Needs:
Marley would thrive in a home that offers:
calm, gentle energy,
patient people who celebrate small steps,
a secure, fenced garden to decompress safely,
quiet introductions to the world,
no small noisy children.
He is ok with other dogs and lived harmoniously with them almost all his life.
A friendly and calm resident dog could help him settle, but it is not required — he simply needs to be fed separately.
Despite limited opportunities, Marley walks surprisingly well on the lead allready and will only grow more confident with time and routine.
