Description

🌸 After four long years… will she finally leave the kennel behind? 💛 This beautiful girl is Happy. She was rescued from a public kill shelter in 2022. She is now five years young (born approx. 01/01/2021). And she has spent more than four years living in a kennel. Four years on cold concrete. Four years behind bars. Four years watching the world from a few square metres. Sometimes she is allowed out for a short walk… and then she has to go back in. You can see it in her eyes. The quiet sadness. The confusion. As if she wonders why the moment of freedom always ends. And we wonder too… will this beautiful girl ever be chosen? 🌿 About Happy: Happy stands about 46 cm at the shoulder and weighs around 17 kg — a perfect medium size. Based on her looks, she could be a mix of Welsh Corgi and Finnish Spitz, perhaps with other breeds already blended in her parents. Whatever her mix… she is absolutely lovely. She is a sweet girl. Gentle. Soft. In the beginning she can be a little shy — she just needs a little time to get to know you. Once she feels safe, her quiet affection begins to show. With other dogs she has no problems at all. She walks allready short walks on lead within the familiar shelter surroundings and enjoys going for a little stroll. She is not difficult. She is simply waiting for someone to truly see her. 🏡 The Home She Dreams Of Happy would thrive in: A calm, loving home. Adults or older children (no very young kids). A secure "dog proof" garden 6ft fence where she can safely relax and decompress. Patient, kind-hearted people who allow her to blossom at her own pace.... She would feel most comfortable with gentle adopters — people who don’t expect perfection, but who celebrate small steps. The kind of people who understand that trust is built quietly. With the right family, Happy would open up beautifully. You can feel it. She is ready — she just hasn’t been given the chance. More than four years is a very long time. Too long for a young dog to grow up on concrete, behind bars. We rescued her with hope. Now we are hoping again. Will we finally succeed in taking this sweet girl out of that kennel… for good? Could you be the one to make her dream come true — and give her the life she has been waiting for? 💛🐾 If you feel something when you read this… please message us. Let’s not let another year pass for Happy...

Adrian and the team at Friends inDEED have been wonderful. We were able to go meet our dog with her sisters and we were in frequent communication during the adoption, and since with updates etc. We were also provided with some food, and lent a harness & lead to bring her home. She has already been incredibly well trained for a rescue dog as we have had no toilet accidents and she is already wonderful on her lead.
