I am with a very heavy heart looking for a new home for my Romanian Rescue, She has been with us since approximately 4 months old, we are looking for a new home due to a change in circumstances. She is very anxious in general, but loves to play and the outdoors. She would be best suited to someone who can give endless cuddles but loves to explore. She is not happy In busy places and would most likely shake with fear, but out in the wild she is a different dog, she has come a long way over the years and someone who can give more 1-1 training may be able to help her further, but she would not be suited to a busy / noisy household. My daughter was around 11 when she arrived and they are very close, and she has been around little children without problem, but she does get overwhelmed if it's noisy and would rather go upstairs and hide, it might take her a while to reappear. She used to be terrified of men, but now she is besotted with those that are close to us, again she just loves a cuddle and could lay with you all day. She lives with two other dogs, we have had two incidents where she has slightly bitten the ear of the smallest dog, but this was prior to being neutered and we have not had any issues since, however because she has snapped at times over toys or treats, or if a dog has given unwanted attention, I would not now walk her around other unknown dogs off lead without a soft muzzle. She regularly walks with a neighbours dog and has no issue, and gets very excited to see them. She has not been bought up with cats and has never been around them. She will chase deer, rabbits and birds. Her ideal owner would be someone that has a lot of time and has a lot of outdoors space or has somewhere nearby that she can run free safely. We had a lot of outdoor space and empty fields to make use of. We would not rehome to someone who is away from home during the day as I have always worked from home. If we go away, she is very happy to be looked after by various people in the family and gets very excited to see them, she is also quite vocal about this :) At home she is very content providing she has comfort and love. She gets very excited if she is given a new Toy, and gets really excited when I bring her bed into whichever room I am in. She runs like a whippet and loves splashing in shallow water (hates swimming) She does malt pretty badly, so you would need to be someone who is ok with that, she is groomed every 6 weeks and we have a pet brush vacuum that will come with her. She is just the most loving dog, and I would only let her go to someone who will give her the love and attention she deserves. Ideally, we would want to keep in touch and get regular updates as this has been a very difficult decision. I have put a price below as it said I had to, but I am not looking for that and just want to find somewhere she is going to be really happy. Serious enquiries only please.
