đŸ Sunny â 4-year-old American Cocker x Show Cocker
đ Fostered in Gloucestershire with another dog and a young child
Sunny came into rescue alongside five other dogs from a breeder who has now stopped breeding.
He has lived a very sheltered life and, apart from being around multiple dogs, had little to no experience of the outside world when he arrived.
Little Sunny, nicknamed âDumpling,â was the most scared of the six dogs when they first arrived. Overwhelmed by new people and situations, he still sought love and reassurance â a testament to his gentle, loving nature.

Sunny has settled beautifully into his foster home and is a true velcro dog. He adores human company and wants to be at your side all the time â curled up on your lap if youâre sitting, perched on your feet if youâre standing.
He gets on well with the other dog in the home, but people are his main focus.
He is a nervous soul, easily startled by sudden noises or movements. While he is fine with the toddler in his foster home, Sunny would not be suitable for a home with children due to this sensitivity.
Out on walks, Sunny has made excellent progress. On a quiet family walk, he was off lead and trotting happily with his tail wagging, showing glimmers of the confident dog he is becoming.

Sunny has a wonderful temperament, a big heart, and so much love to give â he is looking for a patient, understanding best friend.
He has been seen by the vet, received treatment for ear infections, started his vaccinations, and will need a dental to remove rotten teeth as well as neutering. Sunny also has two cherry eyes; both were very infected on arrival but, following treatment with antibiotic drops, the infections have cleared and he is visibly happier.
He has seen an Eye Specialist and will be reviewed next week to decide on any surgery. In the meantime, he is receiving treatment for dry eyes to keep him comfortable.

đĄ The Home Sunny Needs
Sunny will need a special, understanding home with previous experience of rescue dogs.
He would benefit greatly from living with another calm, gentle dog who can offer reassurance and guidance.
An adult-only, quiet home is essential, where his new family will continue the patient, kind approach his foster carer has given him â gradually introducing him to the world without overwhelming him.
