This devoted pair of White Swiss Shepherds are looking for calm, experienced homes where they can receive the structure, training, and consistent guidance. Their owner, who loves them deeply, has sadly become unwell and can no longer meet their high-energy, hands-on needs. This decision has been made with great care, out of love and responsibility -- only the most dedicated homes need apply.
Both dogs are affectionate, intelligent, and deeply loyal, but also spirited, sensitive, and strong-willed. They need someone who truly understands the nature of White Shepherds -- someone able to offer calm leadership, daily routine, clear boundaries, positive reinforcement, and active engagement.
These are large, powerful working dogs with a drive to be on the move. They may be rehomed together or separately, depending on the suitability of the home
Shikoba-Little Feather -- Male, 4 Years Old (Pedigree)
Koba is a striking, large-framed pedigree Swiss Shepherd with a gentle, loving soul. Affectionate and eager to please, he currently lacks confidence and can become anxious when routines are inconsistent or when over-corrected by his older companion. He thrives under steady leadership and calm consistency.
He's an intelligent, active dog who needs a job or outlet -- at present he's beginning to pace from frustration and under-stimulation, regular exercise and mental work will make all the difference. He eats Beta Sensitive biscuits to keep his digestion settled and has been professionally fertility-tested. Around other dogs he can be unsure, but he is never aggressive and responds well to gentle reassurance.
With structure and purpose, Koba will become an extraordinary, dependable companion -- and potentially a future stud for the right experienced owner. He is not currently KC-registered, but his parentage is documented and registration could be completed by his new owner. A very loving, non-dominant male.
Tala -Wolf -- Female, 7 Years Old (Pedigree Standard)
Tala is a clever, lively alpha-female with a mischievous glint in her eye and endless love for her ball. Bright, determined, and full of energy despite her age, she carries an old injury from a road-traffic accident -- a titanium rod in one leg -- which has fully healed and causes her no difficulty at all.
She can be over-corrective with Koba, a reflection of her natural leadership rather than aggression. In the right hands she is a dream to train -- intelligent, alert, and responsive to confident, calm direction. Tala is affectionate yet independent and will flourish with a handler who can channel her drive through exercise, structure, and engagement.
Their Ideal Home
Koba and Tala may be rehomed together or separately, but only to experienced, structured homes familiar with the needs of working shepherd breeds.
While Swiss Shepherds do not share the same defensive aggression as some German Shepherd lines, they can become anxious and reactive when uncertain. Confident handling and clear routine are therefore essential.
Secure garden required: High, solid fencing suitable for large working breeds is a must. Both dogs have strong protective instincts and may attempt to escape if left alone or unsettled.
Children: They have lived with children but are best suited to homes with older children or teenagers, as they can be clumsy when excited.
Other animals: They currently live with cats, but sometimes chase them (no agression). They would ideally be the only dogs, though they have previously lived alongside smaller breeds.
Temperament: Neither dog is aggressive -- they are simply unstructured due to their owner's illness.
Both thrive on positive reinforcement, ball play, and mental stimulation. Even at 7 years old, Tala remains sharp and capable -- this breed's intelligence and willingness to work make them endlessly rewarding to the right person.
Both dogs are exceptional protectors of their home, experienced owners ONLY. Working Breed.
Rehoming Details
This is a welfare-based rehome,
A fee is requested to reflect commitment; the owner is devastated to loose her companions, is taking a loss finacially and emotionally, and wishes only the best homes. Price negotiatable for right home.
£600 -- Shikoba (pedigree male, proven fertility)
£300 -- Tala (pedigree standard female companion;
£800 -- if rehomed together as a pair.
Both are insured with Direct Line, in good health. due vaccinations and worming/flea treatment. Owner cannot leave house to accomplish this, current flea treament is prooving unsuccessful.
A home check (video call and discussion) will be required for all applicants.
Our Role
These dogs are being rehomed through us as a Third-Party Welfare & Rehoming Service on behalf of their owner.
Applicants who pass the home-check stage will be introduced directly to the owner for final approval and rehoming arrangements.
A digital rehoming contract will be signed by all parties covering:
Transfer of care and ownership conditions
Welfare and training commitments
Agreement that these dogs are not for resale, , or breeding as a pair due to Tala's age.
Clause requiring the new owner to contact the rehoming service if they are ever unable to keep the dogs, so that suitable alternative care can be arranged
These are exceptional dogs who have simply lacked structure during a difficult time. With patient guidance and confident leadership, they will reward their new family with loyalty, intelligence, and unconditional love. Current owner wishes for them to experience life to the fullest, serious enquiries only.
