Without a doubt the hardest thing I’ll ever have to do but due to a change in circumstances in my living conditions I have been forced to make the decision to rehome my beautiful boy sully, he’s a 18 month old chow chow, he unfortunately due to the big change in his environment the last few months has shown signs of distress and agitation having lived in his own house where he wasn’t confined to any room and lived as an only pet to now living with another dog and having a smaller area to roam he has become very territorial and frustrated, sometimes making him lash out. I have spoken to a few dog trainers and they have confirmed he is not reactive as such they are just an aloof breed and need someone with the understanding and patience to work with him and gain his trust as he’s not comfortable with new people at first, he also is better suited in a home with no other dogs and no children as he is very territorial and needs someone who can give him the attention and understanding of the breed and what he requires, once he’s bonded with you he can be a cuddly boy and can do the usual, paw, sit, lie down, spin, and will wait for his food if told. Needs a strong handler as he pulls like a train and is not a fan of cats and at the moment due to his uncomfortable behaviour he has become very nervous and have had many failed attempts at bathing him and will require a muzzle at the vets as he is too nervous around them. Sounds like a brutal description but he’s an amazing dog and I want his next person to understand him and his needs as he never used to be like how he is 2 months ago it’s just a big change in his life that I feel he deserves the time and space he needs and i unfortunately can no longer give that to him
