Description

Well where do I start. I acquired trixie rather unexpectedly about 3 years ago when she was dumped in a bush. I took her home with no intention to keep her but she stole my heart. She is the most gentle loving dog but due to her circumstances she is very very timid which has got better over the years but she is still scared of loud noises and fast movements. She is incredibly needy and wants to be with you 24/7. She isn’t a barky dog but when I am not home she will cry a lot. Due too all of this she needs an owner that has a lot of time for her. My mum says when she looks after her for me she cry’s and gets barky but when she is settled this will go away. When I got trixie she had a leg that looks like it had been previously broken. I have never taken her to the vets as I can’t afford it and she can run like the wind but she doesn’t have great stamina and after a long walk the limp does seem to get more pronounced not that she winged about it. Due to this trixie would be no good for coursing or rabbiting. Trixie is very playful and good with other dogs. As you can see in the photos I have a chihuahua which she cuddles up to. I also have a cat which I do watch her around as she does have that hunting instinct and loves a squirrel but she is very timid and other dogs that are usually good can often go for her and she gets bullied. She is very good off lead and will come back when I whistle no problem. Trixie is now toilet trained though this did take me a while. As previously mentioned I have never taken her to the vets, she does seem to have some type of eczema which comes and goes particularly at shedding season. It doesn’t bother her though. Trixie has trouble putting on weight due to her bread I would imagine. She eats a lot. I did feed her a high meat diet when I first got her and she put on weight and her coat got better but I’ve unfortunately been unable to do this for some time. So the reasons for rehoming. I was never meant to keep her I fell in love, she is a very needy dog which I just don’t have the time to give her. I also have had to downsize house and garden which is a real struggle for trixie as she is quite a big dog. I can’t afford to keep her. Most of all I feel sorry for her. She deserves lots of love and affection which I just can’t give her. I’m asking a £200 rehoming fee to hopefully make sure she goes to good people and not bad. She will come with her lead, her bowl and her blanket. Thanks For reading
