Description
Born approximately 10 April 2026 | Male
Some puppies tolerate being cuddled.
Some enjoy it.
And then there's Piper, who appears to believe that being carried around like an oversized baby is simply how life is supposed to work. 😂❤️
Look at him!
Completely relaxed, sprawled across a lap, enormous paws dangling everywhere, with that wonderful pink-and-black spotted nose and an expression that says:
“Yes. This will do nicely. You may continue.”
🐾 Piper's story
Piper is another of Marinela's six puppies.
Their mum was a stray, trying to raise her babies in a village where their presence wasn't welcomed. Thankfully, one kind person was feeding them and doing what she could to keep the little family safe.
But eventually we learned that Marinela herself could be in real danger - there were fears that someone might poison her.
We couldn't gamble with their lives.
The puppies were brought to safety first, and then we managed to rescue Marinela too.
That frightening chapter is over.
Piper doesn't have to worry about surviving anymore.
His biggest concern nowadays appears to be finding a sufficiently large lap. ❤️
❤️ What is Piper like?
Piper is a gentle, affectionate, friendly and sociable boy.
He lives happily alongside his siblings and other dogs and, despite being a good-sized puppy, he's not excessively energetic.
Of course he plays - he's a puppy!
But there's a lovely softness about this boy.
He enjoys human contact enormously and is very comfortable being handled. In fact, these photographs probably tell you more about his temperament than a hundred words could.
This isn't a puppy desperately trying to wriggle away.
This is a puppy who has gone almost completely floppy because he's quite content exactly where he is. 😂
And underneath that slightly serious expression is a wonderfully sweet boy.
🐕 What might he grow into?
Piper is predominantly white/cream, with the prettiest light biscuit shading around his ears and eyes.
And then there's that nose.
🩷🖤 Pink with black splodges — completely unique and ridiculously kissable.
He's already a sturdy youngster with very substantial paws, so we expect Piper to become a medium-to-large adult dog.
His mum Marinela is medium-sized, but Dad remains one of life's little mysteries.
Looking at Piper, there may perhaps be some Labrador, hound or shepherd-type ancestry somewhere in the family tree, but that's simply our best guess.
He's a rescue special.
And they're usually the best kind. ❤️
🩺 Health & Vetting
Piper is:
✔ Fully vaccinated
✔ Microchipped
✔ Treated against internal and external parasites
✔ Ready to begin his new life
Because of his age, he is too young to be neutered at present, so his future family will need to have this done when he reaches the appropriate age.
🏡 The home we're looking for
Piper needs a family who understands that underneath those long legs and oversized paws, he is still very much a baby.
He'll need continued puppy training, house training, lead work, socialisation and plenty of positive experiences as he grows.
He could potentially live with another friendly dog, although this isn't essential.
More important is finding people who genuinely want a dog to be part of their everyday life.
Because Piper is clearly a boy who wants to be close to his humans.
He wants the cuddles.
He wants the company.
He wants to belong.
And we're fairly certain he's going to want the sofa too.
Probably most of it. 😂
❤️ One day, somebody will look back at these photographs...
...and find it difficult to believe that their big, handsome dog was ever small enough to lie across someone's lap.
They'll remember his puppy paws.
That spotted nose.
Those soft ears.
And the slightly ridiculous way he used to melt into people's arms.
But that's the wonderful thing about adopting a puppy.
You don't simply bring home a dog.
You get to watch an entire life unfold.
And Piper's life has only just begun.
Now we need to find the person with whom he'll spend the rest of it. 🤍🐾
