Jasper
⭐ A very special pony looking for his next little rider ⭐
It is with a very heavy heart that we are looking for a new home for our lovely 13.2hh Welsh Section C bay gelding, aged 8.
We have owned him for the past 2 years, and he has been a much-loved member of our family. Our 12-year-old daughter has had so many wonderful experiences with him, but we are now on the hunt for our next bigger horse for a mother/daughter share, so now we feel it is time for him to find his next rider.
He has been involved with Pony Club and enjoys getting out and about. He has experience in cross country, dressage and show jumping, bringing my daughter home 60cm rosettes, and happily popping over 70 & 80cm fences.
🌿 He absolutely loves to hack and is happy to go alone or in company, making him a lovely pony to enjoy both in and out of the arena.
As well as my daughter having weekly lessons on Jasper with a qualified trainer, he is regularly ridden and continues to learn and develop. Jasper is always happy to learn and develop his skills — ridden, lunged and long-reined. He loves a job, but equally, if the weather stops playtime, he is no different if not exercised for days.
⚠️ knowledgeable home is essential
Typically Welsh ponies can be cheeky, fast and strong. Having said that, we have worked tirelessly with a qualified trainer over the last 2 years to manage this and help turn this pony around, he was my daughters 1st pony and if he was bigger, in a heartbeat we’d be keeping him! Hundreds of videos of her weekly lessons, arena hires and XC that can be sent over.
Jasper does have his quirks and can be cheeky and have his moments, so he will need a confident and capable rider who understands ponies and can continue the work we have put into him.
We want to be completely honest about Jasper because finding the right home is so important to us. He has only put a hoof wrong a couple of times during the two years we have owned him, but his good completely outweighs those moments. He is a fun, loving and genuine pony who has given our daughter so many wonderful memories, and we believe he has so much more to give the right rider.
He is a real pleasure to deal with and has always been very well cared for. He is barefoot and has regular massage/chiropractic and saddle fitter checks as part of his routine care.

This is a genuine and very sad sale due to us needing a bigger horse, so finding the right home is extremely important to us. 💙
