After a lot of thought, we have made the heartbreaking decision to look for the right homes for our two beautiful boys, Pele and Marra. They were born on 17 July to our own dogs, Fudge, an Old Tyme English Bulldog, and Flint, a Border Collie, so both mum and dad can be seen. We have been there with them literally from the moment they arrived. Pele was born naturally at 11.43am weighing just 305g. Marra was our bigger boy at 440g and arrived later that day by emergency C section. From those first tiny weights we have weighed them regularly and kept a record of their growth, so we have watched every little milestone along the way. ❤️ They have been raised in our homes as part of the family, not in kennels, and have had lots of handling, cuddles and interaction from the beginning. They are used to adults, children, other dogs, different people and different environments. They have even been out visiting and into my workplace, so they are already getting used to the wider world. They are doing brilliantly with toilet training. They go outside to toilet, particularly after waking, meals and play, and they do not soil their crate overnight. They are used to sleeping in their crate and are becoming really good little boys with their routine. They are being regularly wormed and will be vaccinated. They will also be microchipped before leaving for their new homes. Pele is our smaller white boy with his beautiful black markings and black tail. He is the confident, cheeky one, very inquisitive and usually the first to investigate anything new. He loves to play and has such a funny little personality. Marra is black and white like his dad Flint. He is a gorgeous, affectionate boy, a little more laid back than Pele, but still playful and full of character. He loves being around people and being part of whatever is going on. They absolutely adore each other, but they can go to separate homes. We had genuinely hoped we might be able to keep them, but realistically keeping four dogs long term just isn’t practical for us. As much as it breaks my heart, we have to think about what will be best for them throughout their lives. These puppies are incredibly precious to us, so this isn’t simply about selling them. Finding the RIGHT homes is much more important. Ideally, we would love them to stay fairly local to County Durham. I would also really love new owners who would be happy to keep in touch and send us the occasional photograph or update as they grow, because having raised them from birth, they will always be very special to us. ❤️ They will only go to loving, permanent homes where they will be treated as part of the family. We will want to know a little about you, your home, lifestyle, working arrangements and any other pets, so please don’t be offended if I ask lots of questions! Genuine enquiries only please.
