Description
Sadly parting with Xipil and Obsidian. Two 2 year old females. Full set up which would be perfect in a normal room but in our south facing, wide patio window room, we’re struggling to keep them cool.
We’ve bought them a chiller (£470), a chiller controller (£47) and a fancy filter (Hydra) that is keeping the water crystal clear.
Tank is a 3’ Fluval.
However, the chiller is noisy and with it needing to be on a number of times an evening in our exceptionally hot living room, it’s just not doable.
They are next to a log burner, so the chiller is in use all winter too.
We weren’t aware of the temperature needs when we got them.
In a normal room, I think the chiller would only kick in for heat waves.
If there’s any part of the set up you don’t need, that’s fine, but I’d suggest you take the filter as it’ll be full of the good bacteria they need.
They are used to dendrobaena worms 4 times a week and a few pellets on the other days. You can get the worms from fishing shops.
There’s an almost full bottle of water conditioner too.
The price we’re asking would actually be good for just the chiller, but it’s to go with Xipil and Sid. They’re used to the good, cool life.
It is only that we can’t have the noise for the amount of time our living room needs it.
