Description

Bean is a beautiful, sweet, very shy Torti. She's a very small cat with tender heart, and is in need of a home that will be patient with her, kind, and potentially even has other very social, warm cats. She would do well with cats that will comfort her and welcome her into the family to help her come out of her shell. Bean does not like or trust dogs! Unfortunately, life has taken a difficult turn and family health must come first. Chronic illness, major surgeries -- and we can no longer keep Beanie. But she is so deserving of a lovely family or even empty nesters that would love a fluffy companion. She's a big cuddle bug at night, her favourite place with her favourite people being against their neck and chest. She loves neck scritches and hates butt taps! She's a playful little thing with lovely kitten energy once she feels safe and comfortable. Bean, Beans, or Beanie (short for Bernadette) was born in March of 2022, making her just four years old. And she's had an eventful life! She traveled across the world from America and was fully health vaccinated for her travels. Her vaccines are not currently up to date, but she will be given flea and worm treatment prior to pick up -- though she is a fully indoor cat. We have noticed that she has a little bit of asthma which she responds extremely well with steroids -- but ensuring she has a dust-free litter has helped her tremendously and she is no longer coughing. So, just something to keep your eye out for. Bean was rescued from the streets (hence the docked ear), so her parents health tests are unknown. Bean is a wonderful cat that is very much in need of a home that will take their time to understand her and show her that she is safe, wanted, and loved. She will open up! But she will very likely hide for awhile until she knows she's okay. And once you've unlocked that side of her, you will have your forever kitten.
