Zayka has now been in foster for a few weeks after she was returned to rescue due to a mismatch with the resident dog. It was no Zayka’s fault, it just happens that resident dogs don’t get along with new comers.
Her current foster says Zayka is such a sweet girl once she trusts you. She needs a little patience and will come to you shortly. She is loving, enjoys cuddles, loves to play, and can happily be left alone for a couple of hours without being destructive. She is still young and needs someone willing to continue gently guide her as she matures.

🐶 Zayka is 12 months old, lower-medium in size, a soft, loving and playful young girl who is still learning about the world. She has a gentle nature and, once she feels safe, becomes a very affectionate and devoted companion.

💔 Background / Rescue Story
Zayka was rescued as a tiny puppy from a war zone together with her mum and five siblings. They were brought to safety and raised together, and one by one her siblings found homes while Zayka waited quietly for her turn.
She did travel to the UK and went into a home with hope of it being the right match, but sadly the placement did not work out because of the dynamic with the resident dog. She has now returned to rescue, and we are looking for the kind of home where she can truly feel secure and understood.

Zayka is a sweet girl who takes a little time to trust, but once she does, her lovely character shines through. She loves affection, enjoys cuddles, and also has a playful, youthful side.
She is not destructive and can be left alone for short periods without any issue. She enjoys play and companionship, and she would really benefit from a home where she can continue learning with kind, patient guidance.
Zayka has always lived around other dogs — with her siblings and other dogs at foster — and she is perfectly learning from them. Because of this, we feel she would suit life best with a friendly, playful and balanced canine companion of medium or upper-medium size, one who can help her to navigate the world and provide companionship and emotional support.
She is soft and gentle, but also a young dog who needs guidance, adventures and a family willing to help her become her best self.
🏡 Ideal Home
Zayka would love a house with a secure garden and a home where someone is around much of the time. She would suit a patient family who understand that trust takes a little time and that young dogs need support, structure and encouragement.
We believe she would do best with a friendly resident dog who is still playful but also balanced and kind. She is not looking for chaos — she is looking for the right companion and the right people.
