It does break my heart to write this but due to a change in circumstances, i am looking for a loving and experienced home for Lucky He is incredibly loving, affectionate and people focused dog.
He loves being close to yoy whether its next to you by your head or on the rug or floor in front of you , he just likes to curl up or like dogs do lie on his back. He doesnt like dog beds and has never been caged.
He enjoys treats (especially moonbones/ears beef tracheas) and is free fed. He usauly eats twice a day but there is always food available for him. He does not over eat and is not overweight.
He loves to play fetch but stilll working on him bringing sticks back. He enjoys long walks of lead in open spaces away from other dogs and has excellent recall. Knows his sit/come/lie down commands. He is eager to learn. He sleeps well through the night and is not an excessive barker. He enjoys balls , chew toys and teddies (adores them!)
He is (outside of dogs close to him) reactive to other dogs when on lead and untested when off lead. He is able to be off lead and is a lot ie on beaches , massive fields as his recall is good he does not go off toward other dogs them he just loves to be free running around but is also used to leaded walks
For this reason i believe he would be best in an only dog home (or one you can slowly intorduce him as he is used to other dogs and fine when he really knows them)where he can have calm, structure and training. He is a lovely friendly dog with all humans he encounters but is untested with young children (under 10). He is very friendly if humans apporach him ie to pet him or stroke him and loves this.
He is not often left alone but i have a dog montior when i am out and he mainlty sleeps or watches dog tv.
This is not a decision i have taken lightly , i am looking for the very best home for him- ideally someone experienced, patient and willing to continue working with him so he can reach his full potential.
I have no option due to my personal circumstances (which i will explain to anyone serious about rehoming him) and just want him to have a loving home and future
