Description

In Foster -DEVON AREA-‘ Available for adoption. Beautiful, shy Mindy in foster with her brother Morph. Fosters comments coming soon. *Mindy* “What can we say about sweet little Mindy. She really is a sweetheart, so gentle and kind. Mindy is a timid girl but day by day she is slowly coming out of her shell and becoming more curious and interested in what's going on around her. She depends on her brother to step forward first, but she soon follows after. Mindy is very calm, and loves playing with toys and has a cheeky personality slowly starting to show. We've witnessed her wait until noone else is around and she will go and investigate the toy basket and quickly take a toy to chew and play with. She has found her safe place in the home and is yet to venture too far away from that particular spot, but she feels safe and that's what's important. She loves to cosy up in her spot next to the radiator. Mindy watches us carefully but with curiosity, she's becoming more confident as the days go by but needs time and patience to enable her to feel completely secure and to let her guard down. Her tail is wagging more and her personality is showing more and more which is really positive and lovely to see.” *Mindy & Morph* “Both Mindy and Morph are adjusting well to living in a home. They are understandably worried about new noises, especially typical household noises that they have never experienced before. But with reassurance they are coping well. We have made some adjustments to noises they really don't like and this is helping. For example they don't like when the washing machine spins, so we close the kitchen door and that dulls the noise just enough that they feel less anxious. We have been slowly trying to introduce them both to every day sounds, at first every sound worried them but now they are becoming more tolerant to everyday sounds and as mentioned above with reassurance they are managing better. They both tend to stand by the back door which leads into the garden when they need or want to go out which is great progress in such a short amount of time. They are both happy off lead in the garden, they will venture out with encouragement and just lay or sit in the sunshine quietly. They do need gentle encouragement to come back in again and they will then just go back to their safe spot. They are clean in the house, we do place mats down at night time and they have used these overnight rather than just mess anywhere which is really quite amazing that they know to use the mats. They have both had a bath which they weren't too keen on to start with but when they realised it wasn't anything to be scared of they calmed down. They both enjoy human interaction, Morph is more forward than Mindy but with time Mindy will become more confident too. They both eat and drink very well, we have been feeding them dry kibble only and they are both enjoying their meals. P.s They both love to pinch slippers and shoes 😉” Sex: girl Age: 1.5 yrs old approx’ (15 months) at time of writing on the 29.3.25 DOB in passport: 29.10.23 Coat: smooth / short Weight and height prior to leaving for the U.K. on the 15.3.25 Mindy 17 kg Mindy 62 cm from paw ground level to very top head Slightly taller than a lab though far less bulky- slender and petite.
