Description
Hebe is a gorgeous 3 year old rudy Abyssinian who was imported from Italy with a view to becoming a breeding queen. She comes from Russian and French lines and is registered with the CFA.
Our plans changed and Hebe was spayed before she was a year old. She has never been shown, but I believe she is of breed standard. She was asked to feature in Tim Flachs book, Feline, which is the second photo shown.
She really is beautiful inside and out. She follows me everywhere, and though not a lap cat, is very loving and affectionate. She has lived happily with two dogs and teenage children.
She is a strictly indoor only cat, though enjoys time in a secure catio. Hebe is a very “busy” cat, she is also a bit of a door dasher and is incredibly agile and quick!
She is fed a diet of pre prepared raw (Luna & Me) and high quality wet food (Untamed). She is super healthy and has no behavioural or litter box issues.
I am so sad to have to find her a new home, but she has never really gelled with my Rex cats (Devon’s/Cornish and Selkirk), she is just a bit too high energy for them and her presence has really upset the dynamic. I have tried everything to make them get along - very slow introductions, calming diffusers etc. There is no aggressive behaviour from either side, but I can see that my cats are unhappy and that living with 5 others is just a bit too much for Hebe.
I feel that she would thrive in a household as an only cat, or maybe with one other similar natured breed. Ideally someone with experience of Abyssinians.
I am in no rush at all to re home her, it must be the perfect fit for all. I cannot stress enough how loving and affectionate she is and I know she will make an amazing companion for someone.
It’s a really hard decision to make, but I must do what is right by Hebe and my other cats. Not every cat does well in a multicat household.
