Description

If you’re looking for an active partner in crime and a loyal friend for life, then Inky could be your boy! He’s a gorgeous Collie with a beautifully soft coat and all the typical traits that make the breed such a wonderful choice for a lively household. Inky came from a home where he was kept in a tight muzzle and crated for most of the day. The muzzle was so restrictive that he couldn’t drink or pant, and the crate was no place for him to spend his days. Thankfully, he was removed from this situation by a kind woman who has been fostering him ever since. However, her busy household makes it difficult for Inky to receive the individual attention he craves, as he has to share it with a young child, four other dogs, six cats and even a parrot! Despite this, such extensive exposure at a young age has made Inky well suited to a home with existing dogs, as well as cats and children. When he first enters his forever home, he will need some quiet time to decompress, but with a little patience he will soon settle in and integrate beautifully. As a Collie, Inky will need both physical and mental stimulation. Active walks and puzzle games would be a great way to keep him entertained, and having another playful dog in the home would be ideal so he has a companion to run around and roll about in the garden with. Inky loves being out and about, sniffing and exploring, so a home where he can enjoy time in nature would suit him perfectly. We can imagine him loving a trip to the seaside one day. An owner with experience of the breed would be ideal, though it isn’t essential, as we will be offering a handling session alongside ongoing support with his training. Inky may have had a rough start in life, but he hasn’t let it hold him back. He’s now looking forward to a happy future in his forever home.
